The Julia Award
Every year, InterActing will hand out the Julia Award for a talented teenager with autism in a creative field. Whether it is music, dance, literature, theater, singing or any other form of creative expression, the winner receives a Masterclass from a person they admire within their creative field.
The Award is named after Julia Donkersloot, the outstanding singer who passed away in 2018. She showed that the diagnosis of autism does not mean that you cannot use your talents to the maximum. She had an amazing determination and ability to overcome every single hurdle with dignity, bravery and a pure spirit. She is an example for everybody who wants to show what they can achieve creatively.
