The Julia Award

The Julia Award

The Julia Award

InterActing has created the Julia Award, an award for the most talented creative young person with autism. Whether it’s music, dance, literature, drama, song or any creative expression, the winner will be presented with a Masterclass from someone in his or her discipline he or she admires.

The Award is named after Julia Donkersloot, the very talented singer, who showed that the diagnosis of autism does not have to mean that you cannot use your talents to the fullest. She had an unprecedented perseverance to overcome any obstacle with class, courage and purity. She is an example for anyone who wants to show what they are capable of creatively.
